Honda Accord is the first Japanese brand manufactured in the United States backyard back in 1982. It has evolved from a compact hatchback into mid-sized sedan. This evolution is necessary to fit the American taste for bigger cars, making the Accord pushed at the upper limit of mid-size cars and just below full-sized cars by EPA standards. Honda managed to do this while having in mind fuel efficiency to consider. Honda’s charm worked well on the Americans, being the best selling Japanese car in the U.S. from 1982 to 1997.
Honda conceptualized Accord with a V6 engine that looks sporty with a long hood. The name Accord is said to be derived from Honda’s desire for “accord” and harmony between people, society and their automobile. It has been a model in meeting emission standards and fuel efficiency since 1970, and takes pride of being the only car that passed United States government standards without using a catalytic converter. Although a bigger car, the Honda Accord also used the same transverse engine layout of the smaller Honda Civic which is also operating on a front-wheel drive.
The Accord is produced in Marysville, Ohio Automotive Plant since 1982 and in Guangzhou, China joint venture since 1999.
Motor Trend named the Accord as the “Best of the Best” and “The Benchmark” in its October 2007 reviews. It was compared head to head with the Toyota Camry, and Honda Accord emerged in the end and in all aspects to be showing more. Autoweek, known for its reputation in keeping an eye to the minutest detail of every model that comes out found that “there is little to criticize in the all-new Honda Accord.” Autoweek alluded to the model as a masterpiece of “tiny carpet installer” who managed to put every piece of the material stretched around every bend and tightly fitted just right into each corner.

The Volvo 940 is a part of the Swedish car maker’s line up of vehicles. Fact is, this vehicle is one of the last of the large rear wheel drive cars that is produced under the Volvo brand and name. In the United States and the rest of North America, the Volvo 940 made its way to public knowledge as a 1991 model. This series of vehicles were in essence just a style and design makeover of the Volvo 740. People claimed this was so because the drivetrains one found on the Volvo 940 is also what the Volvo 740 used. But not only that, for the Volvo 940 also has most features that the older vehicle had.
The sharing of components part was what led people to think that the Volvo 940 was just another Volvo 740. In fact, the Volvo 940 held the same dashboard, and the same choices for its drivetrain. Also the same was the sheetmetal from the A pillar forward. But of course, there were changes and distinctions between the two. If one would look at the brighter side of these two cars, he would be able to see that the Volvo 940 is more updated and was the car that underwent evolution.

To get the best deal, whether you’re buying a new or used car, you want to avoid the “lion’s den”. In other words, don’t even go to a Dealer until you’ve already struck a deal.
That’s right. To get the absolute best price possible, you do not want to be sitting there in a Dealership negotiating back and forth with a salesperson. This is where they want you.
The Dealership is where they can wear you down or confuse you with their very effective selling techniques such as “the 4-sguare”, “going for a bump”, “using leg”, and many others.
Instead, you want to stay off their turf entirely by simply using the phone.
Call three or four Dealerships with similar vehicles and tell them you are buying a car in the next 48 hours. Also tell them the car you are interested in and that you are comparing final offers from four different Dealerships. Keep the call straightforward and short.
By doing this, the Dealers are forced to compete for your sale. Let them get back to you with their best “out-the-door” prices. If a Dealer’s quote takes them out of the running, let them know you’ll consider another offer from them.
Trust me, Dealers want your business. They’re not going to want to lose the sale, particularly when they also know you are buying a similar vehicle somewhere else.

For the market outside of its domain in Japan, Mazda produced the Mazda 626 family car. It was based on the Mazda Capella which was mainly sold in Japan. This new vehicle replaced the 616/618 and the RX-2 in 1979 and this was sold up until 2002. What took up the place of the Mazda 626 was the Mazda 6. In Asia, Australasia, and in Southern Africa, the Mazda 626 was sold under the name Ford Telstar.
This vehicle made its first public appearance in 1979 as a rear wheel drive compact. It had a 75 hp 2.0 liter SOHC straight-4 G/MA engine that had automobile magazines comparing it to a BMW engine. The vehicle sported a split-folding rear seat that increased cargo capacity and flexibility to the maximum level. This vehicle has been a top seller since its production.
In the year 1998, the Mazda 626 had gone through a dramatic change in its entirety. All models had either a five-speed manual transmission or the optional four-speed automatic. It had a wheelbase that was enlarged to two inches and the sedan type had 2.4 inches longer, and around a half inch wider. Along with that came the V6 engine that took traction control and engine mobilization to another level. From that time on, changes had been constantly done to the Mazda 626 to further improve its performance and user appeal.
In 1999, the Mazda 626 experienced a shuffling of its equipments. Mazda dropped the base DX sedan and in its place added up a four-cylinder version of the top-line ES that came with trimmed leather. For all trim levels of the Mazda 626, keyless entry became a standard, along with variable-intermittent wipers, and a power antenna. The following year, this vehicle had an option list. The list included front side airbags, and ABS. Its four-cylinder engine gained five horsepower more. All trim levels held rear-seat heater ducts, and some of these levels had heated mirrors although others had this as an option. The final year for the Mazda 626 came in 2002 before it was entirely replaced by the new Mazda 6.
